Apron Repairs

The "apron" of your driveway is the section of your driveway where it meets the garage. Many times homeowners experience sinking in this area especially when asphalt meets the garage floor rather than concrete.

There are different reasons why this occurs. Typically, it is due to insufficent compaction of the base supporting the apron. It can also be caused by the deterioration of the concrete blocks or footing supporting your garage floor. Once the existing apron is removed the extent of the repairs needed can be determined. It is very important to fix your footings before reinstalling either concrete or asphalt.

The apron can be repaired with asphalt or concrete. We suggest using concrete as a more permanent repair but asphalt can be used as well.

  • Excavate & Base

During the basing phase, it is also the time to develop a drainage plan that dos not leave you with puddles of water or a drainage plan allowing water to flow towards your house or garage.

We will take the extra step on projects which have drainage issues to shoot elevations and work with the homeowner to make sure the best drainage possible is set before we install asphalt or concrete.
