What is asphalt concrete?

"Asphalt concrete" is another common term used for asphalt.

Answer

Many terms for asphalt are used interchangeably today, including tar, pavement, blacktop, and bituminous. The most important element in asphalt mixes is the size of the rock. the bigger the rock the stronger the asphalt. Although most people like the look of sleek, black asphalt, this is mostly made up of sand and is not very strong.

As residential specialists, we also do not need to use a large rock used in commerical work such as large parking lots or road work. We use a mix that has is the right combination of rock, fines, and oils strong enough to support residential use.
